Leadership Course

February Mid-Term 2023

Coláiste Chamuis will deliver our residential Leadership Course in February 2023 starting the first Saturday of the mid-term break (arriving Saturday the 11th February and departing Tuesday the 14th February 2023) at our Ros a’ Mhíl, Teálta Campus.

Our residential camp is designed to:

  • encourage personal development
  • foster and develop leadership qualities
  • improve participants Irish Language skills

in a positive fun friendly and relaxed environment that will help them grow and thrive while cultivating character and building college and career preparedness through the medium of Irish. Furthermore, it will also give them another Coláiste Chamuis, Gaeltacht and social experience to relish in.

Now more than ever young Gaels need support, encouragement and help to develop their social and interpersonal skills and build confidence in a post pandemic society.

During the leadership course our students will be given the opportunity to:

  • Advance communication skills
  • Cultivate Teamwork
  • Explore challenges
  • Grow resilience
  • Identify Strengths
  • Practice Problem Solving
  • Build confidence in a social setting
  • Learn to lead

During the course our young Gaels will be actively engaged in group activities. They will learn by “doing”. Time will also be set aside for individual work and reflection. Our students are the next generation of leaders and the future of Irish society and as such will be encouraged to look beyond themselves at their culture, their language, their community and the future of Irish society. Better leaders make for better communities.
